Welding Machines Manufacturers in India

India is a thriving nation with tremendous industrial growth prospects. Needless to say that industrial machinery is in high demand here. One such machine used to join two materials like steel, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, plastic or polymer and fusing them is called a welding machine. There are plenty of welding machine manufacturers in India.

In simple words, Welding is a process that is used to join metals. A great combination of high heat, and pressure is generally used in this whole process. It is potentially a dangerous manufacturing procedure, but also one that is widely used in many companies.

There are some different energy sources such as gas flame, friction, electric arc, ultrasound, laser and electric beam that have to be used in the welding process. Power supply, shielding gas, electrodes, rods, weld and arcs are some of the basic requirements.

As it is a dangerous process there is high risk involved in it; hence security equipments like defensive mask and helmet are essential. Welding is a complex operation that involves some serious injury risks. The operator of the machine is in constant contact with an open electric flame, facing a probability of getting burnt. In order to prevent such a severe injury, a protective gear like durable leather gloves and thick long sleeves fully covered gown is utilized. Electric flame can cause facial injuries and various others eye damages but welders can prevent themselves by using masks, goggles and helmets. Helmet or goggles also decrease the harmful effects of ultra-violet rays, which are directed from sparks and flames.

There are some easy-to-access operations generally used such as arc welding, TIG & MIG welding and gas welding. In order to make a fusing arc between an electrode and a base material arc process uses a power supply to liquefy the metals at the fusing point. In case of MIG & TIG application, constant & delicate wire electrodes are passed all the way through a welding gun. For MIG application, a cable electrode is consumed to create a bond.

Many manufacturers give discounts on the machines or provide some spare parts as part of the deal. Many provide good service, which is an essential need when it comes to such machines. Before choosing the right manufacturer, select the right product to suit your need. Take into accounts aspects such as, the power supply needed, whether it is portable, what other tools and accessories might be needed with the welding machine. Know the purpose and for what the machine is going to be used. Then choose from one of the leading <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link/4174243']);” href=”http://www.technocratplasma.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=28&Itemid=34″>welding machine manufacturers in India.

Weller soldering irons WESD51 – Review

I have been soldering with the WESD51 Weller Soldering Iron for 5 years now, and it works great. I have been using this soldering station very often for soldering through hole and surface mount components including components in size 1206, 0805, 0603 and SOIC ICs. It is easy to set an accurate soldering temperature on this iron – this is very important when soldering temperature sensitive components.

The WESD51 Weller soldering iron has been developed for industrial manufacturing as well as for rework and repair. The station comes with a power unit, detachable 50W iron (PES51), iron holder and tip-cleaning sponge, and 3-wire power cord. There is a power on/off switch, power-on LED, and temperature adjusting knob on the power unit. The station has microprocessor control and digital display. The WESD51 is the digital readout version of the popular analog WES51 soldering station. The unit display shows a “Read” mode by default, which displays the current temperature of the tip. To switch into the “Set” mode, turn the temperature control knob slightly and the display will show the current “Set” temperature. In other words, while adjusting the temperature, the display shows your target temperature and then automatically switches to show the current tip temperature.
Tip temperature is adjustable in the range of 350 ºF to 850 ºF (177 ºC to 454 ºC), temperature accuracy is:
+/-10 °F (+/- 6° C). The station can be switched between Degrees “F” and Degrees “C”- the factory default is ºF.
The unit’s grounded soldering iron tip, a digital readout, zero power switching and anti-static design allow the WESD51 soldering station to meet high quality standards including CE mark.
This soldering station will automatically shut off power to the tool and digital display after 99 minutes of inactivity.
The WESD51 Weller soldering iron comes with a PES51 soldering pencil. The PES51 is a slim, comfortable pencil style soldering iron that features a Nichrome wound stainless steel element construction, a non-burning silicone rubber cord, and large selection of tips in various styles including tips for surface mount devices. The iron uses ET series soldering tips, and changing the tips is quick and easy.
The selection of tips is very extensive – there are tips for heavy duty work to fine tips for surface mount components.

The WESD51 Weller soldering station is one of the best soldering irons available on market and I strongly recommend it. It is a real pleasure to work with WESD51 Weller soldering iron. Absolutely worth the money.

Frederick CO : Township Details

A lot can be learned about a small town from the way the people who live there perceive themselves. Frequently, the local residents are ambivalent about their hometown. That certainly is not the case in Frederick, Colorado. The motto of Frederick goes a long way toward providing a glimpse of the make-up of the town:

“A dynamic, picturesque community that offers diverse opportunities while respecting its heritage and planning for its future.”

Certainly the residents of Frederick would agree. Located north of Denver near Longmont, Frederick is not one of those places the locals don’t want too many people to find out about. These people are friendly and welcoming. And, their efforts are paying off. The population of the town was 2467 as of the 2000 census. That number is expected to increase significantly this time around however, as estimates range upwards of 8500 residents currently.

The town is made up of a relatively young and affluent population. Originally a mining town, Frederick is poised to become part of an area of explosive growth over the coming decades. Within 30 years, expect Frederick’s inhabitants to exceed 60,000 in number!

The employment base is largely centered within the high tech sector and the construction industry, two areas that should see considerable growth over the coming years. Yet, there is considerable diversity as well. Biomedical research, green technology, renewable energy, education and healthcare among others all play a pivotal role in the economy of Frederick CO.

The residents here enjoy small town security and privacy with the option to easily reach Denver (downtown is only 27 miles away), Longmont, Fort Collins and Boulder within only a 45-minute drive time. More and more those types of towns are becoming scarce. Since the town owns about 650 acres of parks and other recreational land, Frederick is wisely insulating itself against any possibility of excessive sprawl.

So, how is the job market? Unemployment at 7.4% is not bad, considering it is running at 10.2% for the U.S. as a whole. And, since employment within the town is largely based upon services and not manufacturing, the near future looks bright indeed.

Should you be nearing retirement age, Frederick is ideal. With over 300 days of sunshine each year, seldom are there long stretches of gray so prevalent in the Midwest. Daytime highs in the winter are generally into the 40′s and summer temperatures above 90? are quite rare. Recreational opportunities abound with spectacular golf courses, incredible camping facilities and of course, Colorado ski resorts located nearby.
If this past decade is any indicator, now might be an excellent time to consider investing in a town such as Frederick. Frederick CO real estate is very reasonable, given all that it has to offer. The median single-family home value of 7,000 is still less than that for Colorado as a whole, but will not be for long. Since that number was only 3,000 in 2000, clearly demand is driving prices up irrespective of the recent economic downturn. The real estate market is obviously back on the upswing throughout all of Weld County. The mistake so many make is waiting too long to make that commitment.

If you are contemplating a move, consider Frederick real estate as one of your best investment opportunities.

Structural steel fabrication in the hands of professionals

Steel has found its use in almost all places, houses, industries, mining, drilling and agricultural purposes, bridges and buildings. Steel is one of the most preferred metals due to its various advantages over other metals. Even on a comparatively smaller scale, steel is widely used in hospital equipment, refrigerators, protective foot wear and so on. Structural steel is stronger and is not damaged by termites as in wooden construction.

Another advantage is that structured steel can be re- used and are durable. Hence structural steel fabrication and metal steel fabrication industry has grown in leaps and bounds and there are professionals like Equifab, a Toowoomba based company that offers their best services.

While hiring the services of Structural steel fabrication, the main qualities needed are complete dedication to quality, good experience and state- of- the- art techniques. Stainless steel and metal fabrication are also made use in structural steel design and steel erection drawings, steel pile foundation drawings, steel metal design, steel metal drawings, steel fabrication drawings and many more. These are highly helpful in developing a very efficient steel building in a short span of time.

Steel fabricators therefore, make use of all these techniques and arrive at a great end product for all types of mining, drilling and agricultural construction purposes. Hence structural steel fabrication is initially done through graphic representation and get an idea of the pre fabricated building components that are proposed to be used in the construction. This saves a lot of time and investment.

The structural engineers offer services coupled with their unique experience by first preparing designs of steel structures and then, go on to create steel fabrications. First, the raw material is cut down to the required size and then, the various parts are welded together to make the final product desired. Pipes, metal sheets, plates, hand rails are some of the parts used in steel fabrication.

They can be done in two ways; either by melting raw material at high temperatures and mixing them with steel or using an electric arc furnace where recycled steel is melted at high temperatures and then, mixed with other elements to get the final product. Steel detailing is the most crucial part of Steel Fabrication and this needs the touch of professionals. Installation and periodic maintenance is also done by structural steel fabricators. Equifab has a team of trained professionals who have sufficient experience and apply latest technologies in the art of steel fabrication.

Dangerous jobs 101. While i was doing this i couldn’t help but think of how in the James Bond films nothing seems to faze the agent in question. Threat of torture, no problem, looming shark attack, walk in the park. Plane going down and parachute got a big hole in it, don’t sweat it. Cubby Broccoli always had an eye for the sequel. In real life heights are scary (stating the obvious) but you can get used to it. I supposed the trick is not to become too blasé. When i first went to the top i stayed in the middle, i had feelings of vertigo as the tower moved in the wind and the steeple remained fixed. It looked as if the steeple was moving not me. I also thought what good value for money humans are. If they had to design and build a robot to replace me it would cost an absolute fortune in R&D. Then there’s the maintenance, servicing, robot union issues. Me they get cheap. They pick up a phone and say they want a bod (not a bot) to come over and clear out a church. What rate are you paying? ask the agency, we’ll pay the bod the minimum wage. Fine, and with our commission and the tax that will bring the total you have to pay to about 25 euros an hour. Bargain! If i was paid 20 euro’s an hour instead of 8,50 (plus 5euro a day for lunch) i’d feel happier about looking death in the eye. Bond is underpaid for his near death shenanegans, and so am i, but unfortunately, beggers can’t be choosers, and there’s always someone willing to work for sod all. Funny as in militant France

All You Need To Know About Stainless Steel Round Bars

Stainless steel round bars are known for their high tensile strength, high durability and rugged construction. Stainless steel is a type of steel which offers resistance against stains, corrosion and rust. This type of steel is alloyed with low corrosive or non corrosive metals, which impart stainless and low corrosive properties. The metal which is commonly used to produce this type of steel is Chromium. The minimum chromium content required to produce stainless steel is 10.5 percent. Chromium imparts stainless properties to the regular steel. It makes the steel resistant to corrosion by forming a thin layer of chromium oxide on it. The other elements that are used to manufacture stainless steel are nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen. This type of steel is very eco-friendly. It is fully recyclable. Metal structures made from stainless steel can be melted down and made into something else.

Stainless steel round bars are available in a variety of diameters, lengths and surface finishes. These round bars are used in a variety of industries including paper, pulp, power generation, oil, gas, petro-chemical, valves, fittings, construction, transportation and automotive industry. These bars have a wide range of production and maintenance applications. Some of the applications of these round rods are:

Valve bodies

Mixer shafts

pump shafts

Fasteners

Machine tools

Surgical and medical equipment

Dairy equipment

Threaded bars

Studs, bolts, hinges and handles

Bus shelters and telephone booths

Road sign boards

Lifts and escalators

Subway trains and stations

Chemical and fuel tankers

Let us now understand the process of manufacturing stainless steel round bars. These bars are manufactured by two processes, cold finished or hot finished process. These bars are produced with the help of a blast furnace. Carbon electrodes placed within the furnace are aligned to make contact with molybdenum, nickel and nitrogen at a very high temperature. Once the blast furnace reaches an optimum temperature, the different elements fuse to produce one metal alloy. Then the metal alloy is introduced into an argon vessel where the de-carbonization process takes place. Casting of the alloy is started once it is placed within the argon vessel. The steel is then molded to give the desired shape.

Stainless steel round bars are less prone to wear and tear. They have several advantages over other metal rods. Some of the advantages of stainless steel round bars are:

Corrosion and rust resistant

Heat resistant

Resistant to staining, scratching and bending

Enhanced tolerance

Enhanced mechanical properties

Improved surface condition

Strong visual appeal

Variety of surface finishes

Welders Spark Ignites Claims

If there was ever a case to get good welders insurance, then an incident in the US highlights the matter quite dramatically.

Welders insurance is vital for any professional involved in such activities, mainly because of the inherent danger involved not only to the welder, but surrounding people and property.

Take a fire in Howard County, in the states, in which a solitary spark from a man welding a fence behind a building set fire to a grassy lot that got hold quickly and spread in minutes. The ensuing flames engulfed a number of vehicles, although mostly abandoned and forgotten. The press didn’t mention whether the individual has welding insurance, or not, but it can only be hoped that he did.

The old cars gave the local fire fighting units a run for their money, because, as the local fire chief said:
“When you have petroleum products and pressurized tires … it makes for a dangerous situation. I’d rather deal with a house fire than a bunch of cars burning.”

Thankfully for any welding insurance in force, there was only company buildings in the danger area and a helpful wind kept it away from populated areas.

And although the company in question made products with fibre glass materials, the fire never really threatened to destroy it.

The damage estimate at the end of the incident included 60 acres of grassland destroyed, plus a vacant building burnt down and some pipe supplies for the nearby company also lost.

A good welders insurance UK policy would have covered similar losses as experienced in this US incident. Although no insurance estimate was available at the time of the fire, it was likely to run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. And had the nearby company been destroyed as well, then the final bill could have strayed into the millions of dollars. Frighteningly, if the local houses had become engulfed in flames, the incident could have developed into a small disaster, involving the local population and a vast number of commercial, and personal claims on the welder involved, and their company.

Welding is a business which has a number of risks, mainly unruly sparks that can cause all manner of fires. And this fact is the main reason to arrange welders insurance.

Artisan welders who run their own companies, either small limited liability operations, or those with sole trader status, are well aware that there are many risks with running such businesses. Sparks to one side, a freelance welder has to have comprehensive liability insurance in case of damages claims and also cover to project against equipment loss. They also have to consider their own well-being doing a job that can involve potentially harmful fumes and physical lifting.

Mild Steel Tubes and Purging

Mild steel welds can be quite difficult to get right if you are not used to this kind of work. It can be one of the most difficult jobs to do when working with mild steel tubes. Hats off, if you can do it well, but it takes a real man to be able to do this job. You will need to wait for the mild steel tube to cool after interval passes, while making sure that you keep the tip extremely hot and shielded with argon. You also have to make sure that you snip the tip of the welding rod if it ever gets crapped up so as to keep your tungsten sharp as it should be.

Purging steel is a very tough thing to do. Mild steel tubes and all the other types of stainless steel products need to be purged with argon gas to prevent them from sugaring or granulation, which is the effect of severe oxidation.

Mild steel welds cannot be complete without an argon purge on the inside surface of common mild steel tube. And this process is done by wrapping aluminum duct tape around the ends of the mild steel tubes while argon gas is left to be trapped inside it.

To be able to determine whether the tube has been purged enough, you need to use an oxygen analyzer; and to make sure that you do a good purge, here are some tips that you can follow:

1. Check that there is no water left inside in mild steel tube. Even a single drop of water will cause damage on the purging process. This is due to the components of water which are hydrogen and oxygen. Wait until all the water will evaporate.

2. You can poke a small hole at the topmost part of the tube to allow the argon gas to flow continuously inside it. Argon should freely flow inside the tube to let all the air out of the tube, as argon is denser than air. Argon will also remove air out of the tube because it has the ability to displace it.

3. Use a diffuser and place it at both ends of your argon hose to ensure a higher flow rate of the gas. A homemade diffuser can be easily fabricated with using stainless steel wool, perforated stainless steel sheet and small piece of sheet metal.

If you are sure that a good purge was done, you can proceed with tacking. You can do this by getting the tape off to let the tack cool down, after which you should re tape it. The tacking should be done 180 degrees apart.

There are more tips that you can follow when welding stainless steel pipe.

1. Instead of using a 3/32 inch rod, you should use a 1/8 inch wire to do better welding.

2. Re-welding can be done on impenetrable areas.

3. Prefer to use stainless steel wire brushes and files which are for stainless steel alone.

4. To avoid overheating, use enough amperage.
