@MrShakesFist i fukn recon
@MrShakesFist In America, they spell it and pronounce it differently.
Did you say AL-UM-IN-UM?
That is not right.
“AL-UM-IN-I-UM”
Is that too difficult?
good info on your vid. but tig is not so easy. mig is easy. practice makes perfect. most peoples problem is they dont know what gas to use… argon or helium mix? helium mix sems to work best for aluminum, pure argon for most everything else.
Good info on TIG. Search brazilwelds to see tig through the lens. good series of vids and info.
Very usefull!
sir,cn i ask what are the BLUE PRINT? thank`s im new in weldeng i want to know more about weldeng thank` a lot and more power!!!
lol easy you say huh
you have sharp end for stainlesss, black steel, steel and almost every metals exept light metals like titanium aluminum and metals like that you will have ball end and AC current not DC
Nuke-you-ler?
@OfForceAndChaos not quite the rule but close i guess with MIG if youre getting a lot of buckshots or feel the wire kinda pushin you away then you have too much wire if you see the wire meltin all to heck as soon as it comes out of the nozzle then u have either too much heat or not enough wire MY basic settin is a 28-30.5 at about a 2 and a half on the feeder but thats just me and not every machine is the same

you don’t essentially have to go to school, but the school will probably have an intern/extern program that helps.
or you can apply for any number of jobs at a manufacturing plant. and keep as close of an eye on the welders as you can.
just a thought. also if you know any welders that helps too.
i averaged a score of 96 on all my MIG weld tests and a 98 in TIG welding. My adviser is giving my a internship for being the top welder in my class, thanks for the tip about MIG it helped me when practicing for my tests. if i get hired on the spot in my internship my teacher said that i will automatically get my diploma
General rule of thumb for MIG (and I’m sure you’ve heard it before) If you’ve got your dials set right, your weld should sound like “sizzling bacon” If you don’t know what that sounds like, get cookin’.
It is! You need a bit more coordination though, seeing as you have a pedal controlling how much amperage you’re sending through the tungsten – usually you set your TIG welder so that you can just give’er and push right down on the pedal and just start feeding your filler rod into the puddle. I’m 19 and I’m already better than most of my high school teachers.
Is TIG welding similar to soldering?
you dont want to mate when tigging alloy you want a ball end i had the same problem then i got put threw nvq1 ages ago and i asked the bloke and he said a sharp point for every metal BUT alloy hope this helps
Mig welder is quite easy to use, the only hard part of the mig is getting all the settings right. A mig has a wire that shoots out at a certain temperature. I havent had as much experience with a tig welder but I’d imagine that it would be easy after some expirience.
I’m currently in school now and my adviser wants me to test early for my last brazing lap weld test, so i can start mig, i have experience in mig welding but i was wondering if there is a easy rule to determine to correct setting like the rule of thumb for stick
you need to be ICAR certified for automotive work
don’t use shitty ass pure tungstin
how can i do welding as a career…do i have to go to school….
Balling happens on pure tungsten electrodes when welding in AC (like for aluminum).
On a higher end, inverter based TIG welder you can adjust the wave form in such a way that you are mostly putting energy into the material (electrode negative) vs.into tungsten. So the tungesten stays cooler – and doesn’t melt. See Miller’s dynasty series fore example
how do I stop the tungstin from balling when doing alloy ?
