how to build a welder out of two microwaves part 3

this project is an instructable by stasterisk.what I have done is taken the modified transformers.and hooked them up in series.then taking jumper cables one going to the piece of metal the other going to a metal coat hanger. www.instructables.com

i’m not sure, but i think you need high amperage, not high voltage.

  • Armando51roosters:

what about amperage control? You need to have amperage control or else you will get weak welds.

  • waylin46320:

quit screwing around and go buy some grass seed and do a little yard maintenance

  • grazer770:

yes and after you get your rods, get back to me when you invent a variable amp knob that goes up to 11.

  • davidbennett60:

    That was fucking hilarious!

  • shortyjk95:

have you got the rods yet

  • breezebro:

I hope you meant to say the secondaries are wired in series to increase the voltage, the primaries should be always wired in parallel.
Secondaries wired in series will increase voltage.
Secondaries wired in parallel will increase current.
Also, secondaries in series need to be in the correct phase to boost instead of bucking.

  • breezebro:

@fennecfanatic It doesn’t matter how many amps there if the voltage is not high enough, and it’s not.
If what you’re saying is true then people would get killed by car batteries every day, and they don’t.

  • spark23ca:

smart young man…but he should be wearing a damn lens…lol….his other videos i wonder too if he hasn’t blown himself up

  • Rednostalgia:

might need a 3rd transformer, reason why its not welding proper is cause theres not enough apmerage going through it.

  • soupdogg316:

@fennecfanatic theres no part 3 woder if hes dead…

  • soupdogg316:

for real… hope no kids die over sparks….

  • 24preacherboy:

    @fennecfanatic
    got any video of that?
I would like to see what your talking about

  • fennecfanatic:

Trivia: 7 mA across the heart is sufficient to kill you. 100 A would literally fry you. A short across skin would likely set you on fire. Don’t do this. Just don’t.

  • ericdalgetty:

“hi this is james againnnn” :p

  • 14gco:

you know you could of used plain graphite like in pencils to weld my great grandfather did it but take the wood off the pencils first

  • monkey505boy:

“Havin’ quite a bit of fun just makin’ sparks.” Perfect for repairing the short bus you ride to the fifth grade in.

Dear Youtube: please display the age of your contributors. Watching the foolishness of ten year olds is just boring.

  • smokeater1973:

that was alot of effort, I give you that but you will hurt yourself.

  • Ibringthetruth1:

This video shows a guy who doesn’t know what he’s doing.

He doesn’t have enough volts to sustain an arc or

Has his wiring all messed up.

  • coolfool182:

okay first of kinda need, but looks like you need to throw some more amps through it. second wtf you are making a welder yet you and no weldeing supplies, you would think someone who can make a wleder would have some rods from a real one

  • 7501234:

I wired 3 12v batteries in series and used a whole cloth hanger in a fraction of a minute…Looks like you need more ampearage

  • a380rockerfan:

    You didn’t weld anything!

  • nekbiodieselworks:

looks like a good welder for welding aluminum foil together or killing yourself

  • lkrux:

    thats not gona weld anything..

  • DrSteveHolt:

ur going to blow yourself up !!! protective gear and protection for the circuit and house the damn thing u have it on the ground !!! this is beyond dangerous.. fry urself with ac and u burn to death from the inside out…
