alright well what we have here is a welder that I have that doesn’t work very well. The wire feed jams constantly, and it doesn’t get hot enough to do the kind of work I do so I am gonna do something else with it. I am gonna gut this thing from all its welding equipment stuff, inductors and motors and such. And I am gonna replace it with a large dry type series cell. I will run the 120v through a rheostat then rectify it and regulate it to dc. See the video.

How can we make an estimation for consumable welding electrode for construction of a steel structure?

My client hase asked me to prepaire two proposals for construction of an offshore platform. First one without cost of welding electrode and second one, including the cost of electrode.
I just only know the weight of main steel structure!

Product Description
Welding is a skill that any do-it-yourself enthusiast needs in his arsenal. It’s only when you can join metal that you can properly repair and create. This book is the perfect introduction for neophytes and an excellent refresher for veteran welders, a work so comprehensive and so complete that most readers won’t need any further instruction.

How to Weld starts with a brief history of welding, an overview of the different types of welding, and a thorough discussion of safety practices. Longtime welding instructor Todd Bridigum describes various tools and types of metals, as well as techniques and types of joints. Bridigum discusses gas, stick, wire-feed (MIG and TIG), even brazing, completing each section with a series of exercises that fully illustrate the skills he has covered.
