How Much Do I Charge For Cutting And Welding Steel?
I have been welding for a while now with a mig/flux core welder and I am pretty good at it. I have been getting a lot of requests from people to do some welding work for them on the side but I have no clue how much I should be charging them. Any ideas on a fair rate?

we own a welding shop and charge $40.00 and hour with a two hour minimum. This helps cover your supplies, and makes you a profit.
Just be fair. If it takes you an hour for the job and its easy go easy on the charge. If its hard charge a little more. Ask your local welding shop what they charge and go from there. NOTICE!! If your weld depends on someones life send them to a pro. There is a lot more to welding than just running a pretty bead.
