What Is The Best Welder For Trailer Building.?

I am going to build a trailer outside under the carport. I have a 235 AC stick welder. I am building a 6′ 6″ by 12′ trailer. What would be the best welder or is the one I go more then enough? I read that MIG welders are more for indoors due to the wind blowing can mess the gas welding up? I using engineered utility trailer blue prints to build off of.

Good enough welder, but for god sakes never grind a weld it actually weakens it especially if you are building something structural like a trailer. If you google (How to stick weld) you would be amazed at how many site are devoted to teaching welding my advice read up and buy a metric ton of E-7018(easiest type of welding rod to weld with) and go to town.I

the welder you have is great. i use mine all the time. it will do the job,if you are a good stick welder. vertical welds are really tricky with stick welders and you will be making alot of them when building a trailer. if you have access to a mig it is ideal for this job. an experienced welder knows how to block the wind when mig welding outside. it really depends on your skill level. i myself have been an aws certified welder for 14 years and i prefer the mig.
