What kind of education/skills do you need to become a welder. I know i’d have to become an apprentice and work for 4 years and then get my ticket, but I don’t know what else I should do?. How much math would be involved, how many years would it take?

Additional details: My math skills aren’t really that good, and i’m in my final year of high school, so I can’t take any shop classes…

You will need manual dexterity, you will need to be good with math, you will need to be able to read blue prints and specs as this will be what you will do when you get out to the real world. There are training courses that can prepare you for this position, look online and in your local paper for these.
